Игра рассказывает историю о Бойфренде, желающем завоевать внимание возлюбленной. На его пути встает отец девушки, который развязывает музыкальную битву. В ней примут участие множество противников главного героя, а также сам отец и мама Гердфренд. Игрок будет управлять основным персонажем, отыгрывать музыкальные композиции и продвигаться по сюжету.
Описание игрового процесса
Игровой процесс сосредоточен на своевременном нажатии клавиш, а главная задача игрока – попасть в ритм мелодии. Если нажатие совершенно достаточно точно, то герой наносит урон своему врагу. Чтобы отслеживать прогресс, можно посмотреть в нижнюю часть экрана, где расположена шкала здоровья с пиктограммами Бойфренда и его противника. Герой должен одолеть в битве семь врагов, по одному на каждую игровую неделю.
При удачных нажатиях, идущих последовательно, игрок начинает набирать комбо-очки, которые усиливают его способности. Каждая неделя сопровождается сменой не только противника, но и мелодии, отыгрываемой на уровне. В перерывах между эпизодами можно наблюдать забавные кат-сцены, где в анимированном виде рассказывается сюжет истории.
